About KB

My name is Kitty Becker, and I have spent my career leading, building, and challenging nonprofits to live up to their missions. I know the pressures leaders face, because I have been in those roles myself.

 

I earned both a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Colorado, concurrently, because I wanted my leadership to be rooted in equity and backed by evidence. That commitment has guided every step of my work, from directing community organizations to consulting with nonprofits of all sizes.

KB Nonprofit Consulting Services is proudly LGBTQIA2+, women, and disability owned and operated, and my lived experience has taught me why it matters to center marginalized voices in all that we do. Equity is not just a word for me. It is a standard. I believe that who you serve and how you serve them must be aligned, and I choose to partner with organizations that share that same commitment.

My consulting is less about handing over quick fixes and more about walking alongside teams. I bring clarity to complicated challenges like governance, budgeting, and fundraising, and I help organizations build systems that last. I also know that accessibility matters, which is why I keep payment flexible. Strengthening communities should never be out of reach.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: nonprofits can thrive when they have the right tools, strategies, and support. My role is to make sure leaders and teams feel confident, equipped, and aligned with their values so they can focus on what matters most — their people and their mission.
